Kajol

Kajol Mukherjee was born August 5th 1975 in Altamont Road Mumbai. Her mother is star actress Tanuja and her father is Shomu Mukerjee.

Her look was unconventional and Kajol took pride in differentiating herself from other Bollywood actresses who seemed to be just decorations at times.
Her first film was Bekhudiâ but she didnâ score her first hit until she made Baazigar with Shahrukh Khan who she would later be paired off in many other films with.

Two of those collaborations include Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and ˜Kuch Kuch Hota Hai which earned her two Filmfare awards for best actress. Khushi Khabhi Gham was the last film she made in 2001 sending her off for a five year break from the movie world.

Finally she returned in 2006 with Kunal Kohli Fanna which earned her another Filmfare best actress award. In the film she played a blind Kashmiri girl who falls in love with a terrorist. Fanna was another notch in her belt for her career which already had much critical acclaim.
Kajol and husband Ajay Devgan released the film U Me aur Hum in 2008 which Devgan made his directorial debut. The film performed moderately but once again earned Kajol the praise of critics who enjoyed seeing her play an Alzheimer patient.

Kajol continues to push herself to be one of Bollywood’s elite by accepting different roles and jumping out of her own skin to portray something quite unlike herself. She has a signature uni-brow that separates her from peer actresses looks wise and a list of movies that do the same career wise.
